About
I’m a documentary photographer, filmmaker and audio producer based in Lincolnshire, working across the UK and internationally.
My work centres on people: how they understand themselves, the places they belong to and the experiences that have shaped their lives. I work through photography, film and audio, choosing the form — or combination of forms — that best serves the people and subject involved.
Listening comes first
I believe everyone deserves to be listened to. Before I decide what a project should say or how it should look, I take time to understand the people involved and what matters to them.
Trust cannot be manufactured at the point when a camera or microphone is switched on. It grows through conversation, attention and a genuine interest in the person in front of me. When people feel comfortable and properly heard, they speak differently. That quality of encounter becomes part of the finished work.
Across projects exploring migration, belief, mental health, heritage and belonging, I’m drawn to experiences that are easily overlooked, simplified or represented from the outside. My aim is to create work that feels honest to those who take part while allowing an audience to encounter them with greater depth and understanding.

Biography
I have worked across documentary photography, film, interviewing and audio production for more than a decade. My projects have taken me across the UK and internationally, including work in Brazil, Ukraine, Ghana and Kenya.
I have worked with communities, charities, cultural organisations, researchers and educators on projects exploring identity, heritage, health, belief, place and social change. My practice includes independent documentary work as well as commissions, podcasts, oral-history projects, exhibitions, participatory work and public installations.
Alongside my creative practice, I have taught photography, film and media in further and higher education. This experience is particularly valuable in collaborative and participatory projects, where workshops, facilitation or skills-sharing form part of a wider piece of work. I am also the long-standing producer of the Cognitive Engineering podcast, translating complex ideas about analysis and decision-making into accessible conversations.
